Dauphinoise Potatoes

Ingredients

  • Chopped fresh parsley
  • Freshly milled salt and black pepper
  • 2oz butter
  • 1/2pt double cream
  • 4 cloves of crushed fresh garlic
  • 8 med/lge Maris Piper potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced

Instructions

Grease a shallow baking tray or oven proof dish with the butter Layer the potatoes, season with garlic, salt and pepper each layer at a time for 4 layers or more Pour over the cream to cover the completed layers Cover with the paper and then tin foil and bake in a hot over [200c] for approx 1 hour Leave to rest for 5/7 mins and garnish with chopped parsley and serve Remove the tin foil and paper, then return to the oven until the top is golden brown
